Boston, circa 1990, a city on the
Eastern coast of the USA with one of the most thriving Ska scenes in the United
States, a fact that wasn't lost to the Bostonian label Square Records, which
took the opportunity to document this important scene by compiling "Mashin'
Up The Nation", one of the definitive statements on American Ska that has
ever been released.

the thriving ska scene of Boston in the early 1990s, has become the difinitive
statement on Bostonian ska. Although long out of print, it is well worth looking
for, containing such notable and now legendary acts as the Mighty Mighty Bosstones
